UTRECHT, January 26, 2026 — Today we are announcing the Weheat Swift: a rooftop heat pump solution designed for housing associations and installers who want to complete projects faster, more predictably, and with greater stakeholder support.

Rooftop solutions are becoming increasingly important as outdoor space for terraced housing is limited and requirements regarding noise and visual impact are becoming stricter. At the same time, many existing rooftop solutions force a difficult trade-off: either a visible structure on the street side or a neatly concealed exterior that requires a large technical cabinet inside, eating up attic space. Swift is designed to break that trade-off: unobtrusive on the outside, while preserving usable space on the inside.

Key features of Weheat Swift

• Installation autonomy (lift-in): a modular design that can often be carried up the stairs, making installation less dependent on crane scheduling, permits, and weather conditions.

• Space preservation: designed to fit in the “dead zone” behind the knee wall, ensuring that usable square footage according to NEN 2580 standards is maintained, thereby preserving the value of the housing stock (including WWS points).

• Service-friendly and grid-ready: support for remote monitoring, fleet management, and service processes that require fewer rooftop visits. This contributes to a lower total cost of ownership and enables power demand management in areas with grid congestion.

• Design focused on acceptance: attention to noise impact and an unobtrusive design help to increase resident acceptance in densely built environments.

Weheat will begin the rollout of Swift in 2026 through its partner network of installation companies and via pilot and scaling projects in collaboration with housing associations.
