How it works in your home

With Weheat Intelligence, the system learns your routines and adjusts energy distribution accordingly. It tackles and solves various challenges in three steps: learn, plan, and activate!

Learn – Weheat Intelligence monitors your lifestyle for a while to discover your peak moments. For example: a standard hot shower between 7:00 AM and 9:00 AM, and some hot water for washing a pan after 7:00 PM. This gives it precise insight into your hot water usage.

Plan – The algorithm calculates ahead daily using:

• predicted electricity prices (based on the day-ahead market)

‍Activate – Based on this, the system generates a smart schedule for heating your hot water

How do you use Weheat Intelligence?

You can now activate Weheat Intelligence in the app. Weheat Intelligence is smart, but it needs your personal input. The first time you use it, you will need to enter a few basic details about your household and energy contract. 

Weheat Intelligence can then get to work, first by monitoring and learning your daily routine. After that, it will start intelligently scheduling your hot water, taking into account dynamic rates, efficiency (COP), and your desired comfort levels. 

Weheat Intelligence is our new software system that we are rolling out in phases this summer. This is standard practice for major software developments, and we will, of course, keep you updated throughout the journey.

• ‍Available for: All users with a heat pump and a 200L or 300L Weheat or Inventum hot water tank‍
• Rollout: Automatic updates will begin this summer and expand in phases. You will receive an app notification as soon as new functionality becomes active.

That is the beauty of our heat pumps: software updates are for both new and existing customers! 

We see incredible potential for using Weheat Intelligence to implement smart, cost-saving measures. The first features are already available, and we have much more in store for you! A key update on our roadmap focuses on solar energy. WI will actively utilize your self-generated solar power to prevent feeding it back into the grid. This turns your heat pump into a kind of home battery. This solves both a grid congestion issue and the upcoming phase-out of the net metering scheme.
